in the long, unsteady process of updating the web page. as always, I think it's going to take a couple of hours and as usual, I'm realizing it's going to take a couple days, or more.
in the meantime, running down links, I came across some oddities I'd like to share.
Voronezh Scientists Turn Blood into Coffee, Milk, Chocolate. this happened a year ago, and funny, I haven't heard a thing about it since. quote from the article:
"The academy’s administration also noted that the foods created by Voronezh scientists contain unique blood proteins that are metabolized by the human body twice as fast as egg proteins, Interfax writes."well, yeah--
we knew that. what I want to know is--is this 'replacement food source' ever going to see the light of day?
also, did you know that
Blood & Coffee is also a
webcomic? yeah, I didn't either. I'm not sure the artist knows, at that--Google has it listed as a web comic, but, digging through the archive, all I found was pencil line drawings, with the occasional photo or ink sketch. huh?
there's also a
coffeeshop review with the name. I can say I had it first...but now I'm wondering when it became popular enough for folks to
crib.
in fact, just to ramp up the surreality, there's a
band, a
web domain (crap), a
blog entry (from a woman who sounds as if she's weirdly accident-prone like me), and at least
one poem. whoa.
and here I thought I was so original.
also? image maps are outdated. therefore, I'm making one. don't ask. it's taking an
incredibly long time to map out.
